Bennie Lee Frazier

Mr. Ben “Bennie Lee” Frazier was born to the late Mr. Cisero, Sr. and Mrs. Mary Frazier on June 20, 1932, in Early Branch, South Carolina. Bennie Lee was educated in the public schools of Hampton County. He was a member of Wilkerson Baptist Church and Barkersville Holiness Church earlier in life. Bennie Lee was joined in Holy Matrimony to the late Larcenia Hicks Frazier in 1952. Bennie Lee served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict as a motor vehicle operator. He held various jobs after his military term to include a pulp wood truck driver, a Westinghouse employee and retired from meter reading at SC Electric & Gas Company (SCE&G). He was a licensed electrician and affectionately known as “The Light Man”. Preceding him in death were three (3) brothers: Willie, Cisero, Jr. and Steve Frazier; and two (2) sisters: Martha St. Clair and Lula Mae Hall. Loving memories will remain with his four (4) daughters: Ivy Frazier Boles (Step), Sophia Linder (Brian), Jennifer Frazier (Jesse), Marilyn Frazier; twelve grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; several great-great grandchildren; two (2) sisters: Ruby Brooker and Anna Bell Kelliehnan; one (1) brother: Henry Frazier (Sharon); and sister-n-law, Nell Frazier; and a host of nieces, nephews and caring friends.

The hours of visitation will be on Tuesday, October 4, 2022, 6-8 pm in the Chapel of Young Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 5, 2022, 11:00 in the Chapel of Young Funeral Home, Yemassee, SC. Burial with military honors will follow in the Beaufort National Cemetery, Beaufort, SC.
