My condolences, Doc tried to teach me Spanish many years ago with very little success, but he taught me many other things in life as well that have been just as important.

Doc was one of my favorite classes to go to! He had a lot of patience for me but some days he was just not having it. But on the days where he was, we would share laughs which ultimately affected the climate of the classroom. He was funny, I will never forget one time he was breaking down a verb and he knew it was gonna sound funny so he pauses and looks at me and says it, and I gave him exactly what he knew I would do, a loud immature laugh. He laughed too and shook his head and that memory lives rent free in my head forever. He was funny but stern, we knew not to try and walk over him. He was well respected because he carried himself with integrity and grace. R.I.H Doc, you will truly be missed.

Doc was truly one of a kind. Looking back over the years, we were blessed with his compassion, love, and the care for his students. He was always someone you could approach and was like a part of our family! They don't make them like "Doc" anymore. My sympathy for the entire Olivier family

I treasured my time in class. I have tried to incorporate some of his style into my own teaching. May his memory never dim.

Doc was my daughter's favorite teacher (and I actually her in my classes...she picked him over me!) We laughed about that. He drew out the gifts in her and made her a better person. He will be deeply missed and his impact will be felt for many generations. God be with you Doc.
