Obituary For Kenneth Allen Brooks

Kenneth Allen Brooks, 56, of Sunset passed away September 2, 2022.

Family has chosen arrangements with cremation and a memorial service will take place at a later date.

Ken was born on Oct. 22, 1965 in Arlington, TX to Harry Allen and Carolyn June Brooks. He was an artist and enjoyed going to the casino. Ken was a colorful, passionate, one of a kind individual. He dearly loved his family and will be missed by everyone who knew him.

Ken is survived by his children, Kenysa Brooks of Arlington, and Anthony Brooks of Austin; brother, Shane Brooks of Grand Prairie; sisters, Felizia Svendsen of Prosper, and Staci Henderson of Dallas; grandchildren, Zoey, Deuce, and Christian Allen; and best friend for 30 years, Mike Everett.

I first met Kenneth when he needed me to help him update his résumé. Through the years, he became a dear friend and drove me to several medical appointments when I was not able to drive. He knew some of the best restaurants to try out for lunch! He always worked hard, but things came to a standstill whenever his children were coming home to visit. His family was everything to him. My most solemn and sincere thanks to Mike Everett for being the best friend anyone could ever pray for. Your kindness and devotion to Kenneth will never be forgotten. You have my deepest respect!
