Born October 13, 1930, Mrs. Gertrude Curry was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Her love of life did not come to an end with her passing, Mrs. Gertrude simply concluded her earth's mission on the 1st of September, 2022; surrounded by loved ones who will continue to honor her legacy.
Born to the late Mr. and Mrs. John Young, of Campbellton, Florida, She met and fell in love with her late husband, Willie Curry, of Niagara Falls, NY; later marrying in 1956, and raising two daughters.
Mrs. Curry is preceded in death by her husband, Willie L. Curry; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Young; six sisters, Rebecca Green, Annie Mae Taylor, Willola Webb, Martha M. Broxton, Laberta Vick, and Amma Young; five brothers, Tommy Young, Johnnie Young, Jack Young, Frank Young, and Charlie Young.
She is survived by her two daughters, Lora Richmond, of Stone Mountain, GA., and Phyllis Jackson, of Buffalo, NY.; five grandchildren, Edward Richmond, and Loren Robinson, of Stone Mountain, GA., Lederise Curry, Christopher Curry, and Elijah Curry, of Buffalo, NY.; three great grandchildren, Zaniya Gills, Christopher McDuffie, and Elijah Curry, all of Buffalo, NY.; a special friend, Mae Nix, of Niagara Falls, NY.; and a host of nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends.
Gertrude loved spending time in the kitchen and baking delicious, Top Tier Sweet Potato Pie's and Sour Cream Cookies.

**Family and friends are invited to attend the Niagara Falls visitation on Thursday, September 8, 10:00 A.M., followed by the funeral service at 11, at Saint John African Methodist Episcopal Church, located at 917 Garden Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY., 14305. The interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery, in Niagara Falls, New York.
