Cora Elizabeth Bell-Bethea was born to the union of Mr. A.B. Huston Bell, Sr. and Mamie Miller Bell on November 9, 1943, in Concord NC. She was called home on August 27, 2022, at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital. She was preceded in death by her brothers, James Miller, A.B. Huston Bell Jr., Kenny Miller, Anthony "Boonk" Bell, and sister, Ernestine Bell Baldwin goddaughter, Beverly Autry.
Cora was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. She was our Angel. She had such a caring soul and willing to help and care for those in need. Cora came to High Point in 1956 and attend high point city schools. She worked for Wesleyan Arms for many years and retired from the Guildford County School system. She was a Strong Independent God-fearing woman.
Surviving relatives include her husband Alexzander Bethea, daughter, Wendy Cross-Jackson, grandchildren, Justin Wright, Monique Jackson, Keyonna Autry, Charlie Williams and Hylas Strange with a host of more grands, Great grands, stepchildren and step-grands, and step great-grands; one sister, Ella C. Bell; and a host of nieces, and nephews, cousins, and friends all out of High Point, NC.
Funeral service will be held Friday, September 2, 2022 at 10:45 a.m. at Phillips Funeral Service Chapel. Interment will follow at Carolina Biblical Gardens. The family will receive friends at the chapel from 10:30 a.m. until 10:45 a.m.
Final arrangements are entrusted to Phillips Funeral Service, Inc.
