MR. DARNELL TURNER, SR. – Age 78, of Chattanooga, Tennessee passes away Wednesday, August 24, 2022. He was born July 15, 1944 in Dadeville, Alabama. He was a graduate of Howard High School, Chattanooga, Tennessee. He was a member of New Covenant Fellowship Church. He retired from Tennessee Wheel Barrel and later worked as a stocker for Food City. In his spare time, he enjoyed gardening and landscaping. He also was an avid Atlanta Braves fan and enjoyed watching western movies and shows. He is preceded in death by his sons, Corey Turner and Ferdinand Turner, father Shevy Turner, mother Veronica Davis, three brothers, and three sisters.
He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Alice Faye Brown Turner; son, Darnell Turner, Jr; daughters, Sandra Pollard, Niesha Turner, Tara (Jeff) Landrom, Rosaline (Carson) Dozier, Lisa Lindsey, and Sharon Turner; sixteen grandchildren; two great grandchildren; sixteen sisters; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Graveside Service will be Friday, September 2, 2022 at 1:00 P. M. at Forrest Hill Cemetery, 4016 Tennessee Avenue, Chattanooga, Tennessee 37409, with Pastor Bernie Miller, Eulogist. The family of Mr. Darnell Turner, Sr. wish to thank Dr. Winnifred Dunbar Davies and the staff of Mt. View Hospice for an extraordinary job during our time of need.
