Obituary For Katina Barnett

A Celebration of Life for Ms. Katina Yvette Barnett will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2022 11:00 a.m. at Rivers of Life Church Ministries, 301 Lakewood Drive, Brandon, 33510, Rev. Curtis A. Swafford, Pastor. Interment will follow at Myrtle Hill Cemetery. Katina Yvette Barnett was born December 2, 1972 in Tampa, FL. She departed this life on August 9, 2022. Katina made peace with God at an early age when she accepted Jesus as her personal Lord and Savior. Katina’s Christian foundation was established at New Salem Missionary Baptist Church, Tampa, FL. Katina was educated in the Public Schools of Hillsborough County. Katina graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School, June 1991, then went on to continue her education at Hillsborough Community College and Nursing school at Sanford Brown Institute. Katina was well known for always cracking jokes and dancing. Katina loved Chick Fil A and sipping on a nice cold Coca Cola. Katina was preceded in death by her dad, Clarence Barnett, brother, Fredrick Branton and brother-in-law, Keith Kelly. Katina is survived by her mother, Scellar Barnett, of Spring Hill, FL; three sons, Jalen Norwood of Riverview, FL, Kavon Willingham of Tampa, FL, and Willie Hunter Jr of Riverview, FL; one daughter, Ariana Santana of Spring Hill, FL; 2 sisters, Detra Moore (James) of Brandon, FL and Arlene Barnett Kelly, of Riverview, FL; two nephews, Gregory Williams of Riverview, FL and Keishawn Kelly of Gainesville, FL; 2 nieces, Dominiqua Vance of Jacksonville, FL (US Navy) and Aliah Kelly of Riverview, FL; Special Friends, Charles Bellamy Sr of Seffner, FL and Cynthia Kendrick Fleming of Tampa, FL; and a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends. Visitation will be held Friday, August 12, 2022 6-8 p.m. at St. John Cathedral, 3401 Bishop Eddie Newkirk Way, Tampa 33605. Facial Mask are required at both services. A SERVICE OF INTEGRITY
