Obituary For Lemuel Lee Maxwell

Lemuel Lee Maxwell II, 21, of Killeen, Texas transitioned from labor to reward on Sunday, July 31, 2022, in Killeen, Texas. He was born Thursday, January 11, 2001, to Lemuel Maxwell and Ja’Vonna Smith in Honolulu, Hawaii. Lemuel was affectionately called as “L.J.” by family members and friends. He loved spending countless hours with his family, especially his cousins and aunts. L.J. received his education in Temple Independent School District where he graduated with the class of 2019 from Temple High School and subsequently graduated from Northwestern Vista College. L.J. enjoyed playing video games and fashion was his full-time job while being a student.

He was preceded in eternal rest by his grandfather, Johnnie Smith, great-grandmothers, Shirley White, and Mamie Davis.

L.J. leaves to cherish his many memories: parents, Lemuel (Amanda) Maxwell and 1SG Ja’Vonna Smith; sisters, Genesis Maxwell and Xadiyah Maxwell; grandparents, Josephine Smith, Linda (Charlie) Francis; grandfather, Victor White; great-grandmother, Sallie Hargrette; great-grandfather, Cephus Mills, a host of aunts, uncles, extended family, and friends.

The Homegoing Celebration will be 2:00p.m. Saturday, August 13, 2022, at Palatka High School. Burial will take place in Oak Hill East Cemetery.
