Obituary For Nathaniel Lawrence

Mr. Nathaniel Lawrence, was born on the 22nd day of October, in the year of 1952 in Greensboro, Georgia, to the late Cadrie and Mollie Lue Lawrence.

During his childhood, he accepted Christ and became a member of Zion Wrightsville Baptist Church in Greensboro, Georgia.

Nathaniel, received his formal education at Floyd T. Corry School (Greene County School System). After transitioning from school to the workforce, Nathaniel began working in Atlanta, Georgia in construction. For many years, he traveled from Greensboro, Georgia to Atlanta, Georgia. After working in Atlanta, he decided to return to Greensboro, Georgia for employment. Nathaniel, began working for The City of Greensboro. Nathaniel, worked for more than twenty years for The City of Greensboro and later retired.

Nathaniel, was a very humble and loving man, that enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. His hobbies were fishing and playing his guitar. And yes, he absolutely loved his guitar! He was known by many “to make his guitar talk”, while he played his favorite songs.

Nathaniel, has been rejoined with his parents, brothers (Willie Wright, Joe B. Lawrence, and Marvin Lawrence), and sister (Irene Lawrence).

He will be truly missed, but his legacy of love will remain eternal in our hearts to everyone that knew him. Nathaniel entered into rest on July 15, 2022 in Greensboro, Georgia.

He leaves to cherish his memories to his brother, Mr. Grady (Alice) Lawrence of Greensboro, Georgia.

In addition to his brother, his memories will be forever cherished by multiple nephews, nieces, cousins, friends, and a special and loving companion, Ms. Vickie Rowland of Greensboro, Georgia.

-Some called him Nathaniel, yet many called him “Than”!
