Rev. Dorothy M. Upshaw, 77, of Chesterfield, VA, died July 9, 2022. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Eddie J. Upshaw. Surviving are her son, Douglas L. Upshaw; sister, Mattie Banks; brother, David Allen; two nieces Bessie Allen and Theda Allen; nephew, Anthony Allen; other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Scott's Funeral Home, 115 E. Brookland Park Blvd., where viewing will be held Friday, July 15 from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, July 16 at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, 16616 Glebe Road, Dewitt, VA 23832. Rev. George Johnson, officiating. Interment Hassidiah Baptist Church Cemetery, Jarratt, VA.
Deepest condolences to Rev Upshaw's family. She was a true blessing to my mother, Deaconess Bettie Harris in the last years of her life and I always appreciated it.
