I'm still processing my friends passing. Adam and I met in CS "A" school in 2014. His presence was profound. He took his Culinary skill set seriously and did everything with pride! I have so many memories of Adam. But he accompanied me to Jamaica for my birthday in 2019 during one of the hardest years of my life and we had a great time. He was selfless, and lived his life to the fullest. Myself and fellow CS whom he trained with are grieving alongside his beloved family and friends. To the Esaw Family, thank you for sharing your son with the world. He made his presence known and was exceptional on his short time on earth, he will be missed. -CS2 Chantel Woods

Adam was a great shopmate to all who sailed with him on the USS MISSISSIPPI. It was a challenging life there, but Sailors like Adsm pulled us together and helped us succeed. Sorry to hear about this tragic loss.

Adam I'm going to miss you !! You were a stranger that I was blessed to sit next to in first class leaving San Diego .. I listened to your journey and you inspired me with your culinary skills . You were newly married and bragged about your new role as a step father. I recently complimented how you looked exactly like your mother . You were amazing and I know you will be missed .

One of the memories that I have of my Great Nephew Adam stems from his formative years. He came down to visit with his N. C. relatives and he attended Vacation Bible School with us. He was in Mrs. Rose Smith's class and he and his cousin Myles performed a duet. You would have thought they had been singing for years. The two of them brought the whole Church to their feet. We all enjoyed their melodious voices and wanted more. But to our dismay one was all we were getting. Adam did something that brought his teacher Mrs. Rose to tears he wrote her a thank you letter for teaching him during Vacation Bible School. Mrs. Smith still has that letter and ever so often she will take it out and read it with only fond memories of Our Adam. Adam Now That You Have Taken Your Exit From Us Its Time To Enjoy The Fruits Of Your Labor Until We Meet Again. Great Uncle,Derrick and Great Aunt, Dr. Shawn Smith Dixon. Always and Forever You'll Be In Our Hearts.
