Obituary For Ronald McDonald

Mr. Ronald Edwin "Rambo" McDonald was the son of the late Julius R. McDonald and the late Margaret McDonald Robinson. Ronald was born in Lancaster, South Carolina on April 18, 1953, and departed this earthly life on June 18, 2022. Ronald graduated from James F. Byrnes High School Class of 1972. After graduation, Ronald joined the United States Army, and after his service to our country, Ronald attended Spartanburg Technical College where he graduated with his degree in Mechanics. Ronald enjoyed working on cars and "Loved" riding motorcycles. Ronald loved to laugh with friends and family where he was also known as Aka "Rambo". Ronald will truly be missed by his family and friends. Those left to cherish fond memories are his son Laron Jamal (Angie) McDonald of Winston Salem, NC; two daughters, Crystal Nichole McDonald of Greer, SC, and Danielle Leigh McDonald of Lyman, SC; four granddaughters Jayla McDonald and Payden Jackson of Greer, SC; Tania McDonald and Braely McDonald of Lyman, SC; two grandsons Avondre Briggs and Kendrick Briggs of Winston Salem, NC; sister, Clemetine Glover of Wellford, SC; brother Horatio (Mary) Robinson of Newport News, VA; aunts Arlene (Jack) Stevenson and Margie (Larry) Duncan of Lancaster, SC, Mable Stewart and Janie Marshall of Buffalo, NY; uncle Wesley (Deek) Stewart of Lancaster, SC; sister-in-law Arbelene McDonald of Wellford, SC, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother, Julius M. McDonald.

Services will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2022 at 6:30 p.m. at The John Stinson Woodward Funeral Home, 602 Howard St., Spartanburg, SC.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
