Obituary

Gerald Lincoln Gray, affectionately known as (Shake) was born on April 10, 1949 to A.V. Gray and Ann Lee Gray in Quitman, Georgia (Brooks County). He attended Washington High School. He worked for Star Management Properties as a Building Supervisor for over twenty-eight years. Gerald was certified in heating and air conditioning (HVAC) where he was renowned as being the best in his craft.

Gerald moved from Quitman to Atlanta, Georgia where he resided for over 30 years. Later in life, he returned to his home of Quitman until he was called Home to be with the Lord.

He loved outdoors working in the yard and hanging out with his family and friends. You would always find him cooking greens, macaroni and cheese, and frying the best chicken you’ve ever tasted in your life. He enjoyed telling jokes, playing tricks, and making people laugh and smile.

Gerald was preceded in death by: his father, A.V. Gray; his mother, Ann Lee Gray; his daughter, Christy Gray; and sister, Mae Francis Bryant (Cleveland Bryant). Gerald leaves to cherish his memory: his daughters Demetria Brown, Quitman, GA, Lawanda Jackson, Boston, GA, Meltonia Lott, Tallahassee, FL, Caressa Jordan, Quitman, GA and one son Kelvin Jackson (Genetris), Perry, FL; his siblings: Mary Lousie Neal, Delaware, PA, Forrestine Collings, Riviera, Beach, FL, Alfred Gray, Quitman, GA, Charles Gray (Delores), West Palm Beach, FL and Jessie L.
