Obituary For Mr. Lawrence Lee Boyd

We knew little that morning that God was going to call your name, In life we loved you dearly; in death we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go alone. For part of us went with you, the day God called you home. You left us peaceful memories, your love is still our guide, And though we cannot see you, you are always at our side. Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same, But as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again.

Mr. Lawrence Lee Boyd, age 62 entered into eternal rest on Sunday, May 22, 2022 at his residence.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 26, 2022 at 12Noon at Greenwood Baptist Church 1175 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Blvd Warrenton, NC. Pastor Eddie Lawrence will deliver the Eulogy. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Public viewing will be held Wednesday, May 25, 2022 from 1PM-7PM at Boyd & Royster Funeral Service 149 Holland Bland Rd. Warrenton, North Carolina.

Guest Book

To the Boyd Family, Mr. Boyd was indeed one of a kind. TO say that he will be missed, is an understatement pure and simple. I thank God for the help he provided for my family, and me personally; he helped with my father, and TWO of my children. There wouldn't be sufficient space or time for the words I could say to honor him. We are forever grateful...God Bless. Brian R. Baker

Extending sincere condolences to Lawrence's Family as well as his Staff Family. This saddens my heart. The last couple of times we ran in to each other we had great conversations. I believe he was trusting God and I know he's at peace. I am so pleased he accomplished what he desired in life. I admired Lawrence's uniqueness and his way of just being himself. What we saw is what he was. He was great at what he did professionally. He could make the people's deceased loved ones look like they would get up and walk any minute. (He would like my saying that πŸ₯°.) He had a special way with the people he served. He is already missed and by so many. πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™ Helen Purnell Evans

The Darensburg Broadcasting family would like to send our sincerest and deepest condolences to the Boyd family. Lawrence Boyd was a wonderful man and our friendship and business relationship extended far beyond a 20 year expansion. He was very compassionate about his work and in ensuring that his clients received the best services from his funeral home and from our radio station. He was meticulous in how we serviced him, on down to correctly pronouncing the names of the family members mentioned in the reading of the obituary's. He was very passionate about ensuring that the families felt the love, comfort, and respect that they deserved. He took pride in making sure that the deceased was honored the way that the families expected them to be. A multitude of our conversations was about making sure that we got the correct information we needed so that our readings would be without error. He made sure that we got the details right and that the readings were done efficiently and in a timely manner. He was adamant in that the quality of our service and his service matched the level of attention that was required to ease the minds of his clients and their grieving families. Mr. Boyd will truly be missed and it was honor for us to work with him for all of these years. He created a legacy that will live on in the hearts and minds of this community and beyond. He made an impact with his presence and mighty in his stance for perfection. Mr. Logan Darensburg, Dr. Lilipiana Darensburg, and the entire WARR 1520 AM/103.5 FM family would like to send our love to the Boyd family, friends, and loved ones. We pray that we can continue to serve at the capacity that he has always been committed to. Sincerely, WARR 1520 AM/103.5 FM Warrenton, NC Dr.Lilipiana Darensburg/President of Darensburg Broadcasting

What words can I say that could describe a loss such as this or a person that made quite an impression on those lives he touched. He touched mine a long time ago in a way many never could. As a yellow jacket rival, a coworker at a Greene's Funeral Home, a long time friend who was funny with a contagious smile and laugh. He was tough yet kind and gentle. He was always his own man. He did things his way. He knew what he wanted and didn't stop until he accomplished what he set out to do and was successful at it. I will miss you my friend. Rest in heavenly peace until we meet again at Jesus's feet. It's in Jesus. He is the one.
