I just found out Mr. Moncrief passed away, and I'm devastated. Mr. Moncrief was my supervisor when I worked at Alabama State University, and I could not have asked for a better boss. He was smart, humorous, kind, protective, and a very snappy dresser. My thoughts are with his family and friends at this time. The tears you shed in May, I am now shedding in July.

I want to express my condolences to the family of Arthur L Moncrief. Art was a friend and mentor to me from the first day I met him more than 20 years ago. We engaged in the most educational debates because as you know, it was always about learning and maturing. I know, I learned and matured more than he did in our relationship, but he always treated me as an equal! Art's emotions were real and his conversation was direct, and I am very grateful for the time we had together. Art also challenged me to give back. My pay it forward activities are mentoring others like he did for me. No person leaves this life perfect, but as stated in John 8:7, ... "He who is without sin among you, let him be the first to throw a stone at her." I loved Art and will miss him. – Kelvin Tarrance

To the Moncrief Family: We take this time to express our personal condolences to the family of Arthur L Moncrief. Our deepest thoughts and prayers go out to the entire family, and friends of the family during this persiod of great sadness. To all who are grieving at hearts, we encourage all to please allow the sacred writings of god to provide your hearts with true comfort from God. In the sacred writings, God tells us about the future blessings that He will extend to a great host of people who have fallen asleep in death. This comforting promise is recorded at John 5:28-29. As the verses states, that God would cause a calling to go forth to those in the grave to stand up in life again. From this one promise, God is giving us His personal guarantee that the resurrection to life will certainly take place. Just imagine, that in the very near future you will witness with your very eyes many of departed love ones standing up in life again. Now imagine how the sound of joy and laughter will fill the whole earth as this promise blessing of God takes place. Furthermore, to help all to develop stron faith in this wonderful promise, God has preserved nine accounts in the Bible that speaks about the resurrection arrangement for His earthly family. Here is just one such example that is recorded at John 11:32-44. I hope that all will get a chance to see how these verses apply to our departed loved ones in a very special way. So, in closing we encourage all to please keep this promise of God near your hearts at all tiems. Remember that when God makes a promise, it becomes reality. For it is impossible for God to lie. (Titus 1:2)
