Graveside service will be 12:30 p.m. EST, Monday, April 11, 2022 at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery with Pastor Alberta Bruner, officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, April 9, 2022 from 1-5 p.m. EST.
Clinton Willie Francis, III was born on September 12, 1973, in San Angelo, Texas, to Clinton Francis, Jr. and the late Barbara Ann Francis.
He enlisted into the U.S. Army in 1995 as a 92G, Food Service Specialist where after successfully completing various trainings, led to his retiring rank of Sergeant First Class. He received his certification as a Culinary Chef from the U.S. Army. He also became the U.S Army Culinary Liaison in Fort Lee, Virginia. He completed the American Culinary Association training in St. Augustine, Florida and was selected to be a member of the U.S. Army Culinary Team in which he received many honors.
His military journey included three deployments and eight duty stations to include 1995 - 2001 Baumholder, Germany; 2001 - 2004 Fort Wainwright, Alaska; 2004 - 2007 Fort Sill, Oklahoma; 2007 - 2009 Schofield Barracks, Hawaii; 2009 - 2010 Jacksonville NAS, Florida; 2010 - 2012 Fort Lee, Virginia; 2012 - 2016 Fort Benning, Georgia where he honorably retired.
He loved traveling, great food, good company, family activities, and riding his motorcycle. He was a part of the Outcast MC, which he established lasting friendships and brotherhood.
He met his wife, Kenyetta T. Francis of 23 years while stationed in Baumholder Germany, where he took her hand in marriage on February 19, 1999. In their union he leaves to cherish his memories three children, De’Lyla Francis, GeoVonie Francis and Jasmine Francis.
He departed this life on April 2, 2022. He is preceded in death by many including his daughter, Destiny Francis; his mother; Barbara Ann Francis; his paternal grandparents, Clinton Francis, Sr. and Florine Francis.
Continuing to celebrate his life and legacy is his father, Clinton Francis, Jr.; his only brother, Brian “Scott” Francis and his children, Logan Francis, and Zariah Francis; maternal grandparents, Moses and Annie Mae Roberts; host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and devoted friends, battle buddies, acquaintances, and his Outcast family.
