Obituary For Garvin Bynum

Garvin Derrick Bynum, 55, died Monday, Feb. 14, 2022, at Atrium Health in Pineville, N.C.

He was the son of the late Charles Hamp Bynum Sr. and the late Mattie Emma Witherspoon Bynum.

Mr. Bynum is survived by one son, Darius Blakely; two sisters, Shelia J. Bynum and Chela Bynum Tilley; and one brother, Charles Hamp Bynum Jr.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Sunday, Feb, 20, at Mount Zion AME Zion Church, officiated by the Rev. Dr. Paulette Leak, with burial in Clinton Memorial Cemetery.

Viewing will be 1-5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 19, at McMullen Funeral Home.
