Thema Hakizimana

Ms. Thema Hakizimana (Ms. Peaches) was born on December 10, 1965 in Pompano Beach, Fl to Steve and Corrine Robinson.

Thema graduated from Blanche Ely High School of Pompano Beach, FL and received a degree in Early Childhood Education from Broward County Community College. Thema was a lifelong advocate for the Lord. She was baptized at an early age and continued to profess and speak the word of God throughout her entire life.

On Feb 11, 1984, Thema married her highschool sweetheart, Hashim Hakzimana. They had four children together; Jamila, Akil, Zakiya, and Ankoma.

Thema was a licensed cosmetologist and took pride in beautifying her clients and loved ones. She partook in working with young children at daycares and eventually ran a care sitting business of her own for those with small children who needed assistance.

In her later years, Thema relocated from Fort Lauderdale, FL to Warner Robins,GA and continued to spread her love while working at the family's local restaurant, Liz's Southern Cooking. There were many community service events and volunteering over the years she assisted with regarding the restaurant's involvement. With smiles, laughter, a lot of dancing and constantly praising God's word, Peaches was truly an angel on earth.

On March 19, 2022, God called his angel back home.

She was preceded in death by her parents Corrine and Steve Robinson. Three siblings, Laverne Mathis, Joanne Springer, and Willie Ira Springer.

Thema leaves to cherish her memory two sons Akil and Ankoma Hakizimana and two daughters Jamila and Zakiya Hakizimana. One sister, Annie Harris of Deerfield Beach, FL and two brothers Arthur Lee Springer of Pompano Beach, FL and Larry Springer of Hawkinsville, FL. Grandchildren, Jhamarri, Neriah, Shani, Kenzo, and Cameron James of Florida. Also left to cherish her memory are several nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
