Obituary For Victor Shawn Twitty

Vic went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 12, 2022, at Spartanburg Regional Hospital. He was the son of the late William Eugene and Minnie Flack Twitty of Ellenboro, NC. He was preceded in death by his father, William Eugene Twitty, and his grandparents, Dennis and Helen Flack and Rowan and Rev. Julia M. Twitty, and his cousin/sister, Shalaundia May Thomas. Vic was born in Rutherfordton, NC on March 5, 1972. He was educated in the Rutherford County Schools. He graduated from, East Rutherford High School in 1990. He worked in textiles for several years then drove trucks locally until his death. He was a dedicated musician for several local churches in Polk, Rutherford, and Cleveland Counties. He joined Green Creek Missionary Baptist Church at an early age. Vic was baptized and became the guitar player for the church under the Pastoral leadership of Rev. J.K. Miller. Prior to playing the guitar he sung in the Sunbeam Choir and Junior Choir. He is survived by his mother, Minnie Twitty, brothers: Darrell, Chad (Crystal), Brannon (wife Christina), and Bradley Twitty; his ex-wife, Stacey Twitty and daughter, Phonecia Davis Payne (husband Oldpa), and four grand-children and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Service: Saturday, March 19, 2022 1:00 p.m. Green Creek Missionary Baptist Church Pastor LeRone Moore, Presiding
