Antonio Algrier Rainey, of Gastonia, NC, was born November 28, 1975 in Gaston County. He departed this life on Saturday; March 5, 2022 at Caromont Regional Medical Center, Gastonia, North Carolina.
He attended Hunter Huss High School, Gastonia, NC and he received his GED from Gaston College, Dallas, NC. He spent many years as a cook at Market Street Buffet & Bakery, Gastonia, NC, as well as at Captain’s D’s, Gastonia, NC and McDonalds, Dallas, NC until his health failed.
He was man of few words but always caring and dependable.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents: David and Pearlene Rainey, his uncle: Michael Rainey and his brother: Adrian Reid.
Those left to cherish his memories are his parents: Bobby Reid, Sr. and Angela Rainey Reid of Gastonia, NC; his wife of fifteen years: Shasta Rainey; his three daughters: Maleeyah (17), Kimberly (14) and J’Monique’ (12) all of the home; his aunts: Ruby Boyce (QJ) and Cynthia Scott; his sisters: Tonya Springs, Rashica Reid and Anissa Reid, his brothers: Tobias Reid and Bobby Reid, Jr., and other relatives and friends.
Memorial service at the funeral home on Wednesday; March 9, 2022 at 2:30 p.m. with thirty minute visitation before the service.
Masks are required.
I am in shock and sad. I just messaged with Tony 2 days prior to his passing. I was such a person, sweat spirit. My prayers are for the family. He was really a kind hearted person. He will be missed.
