Mr. Gary A. Russell,66, Passed away Thursday, March 3,2022.

The Obituary: Chuck was born January 25, 1956 to Nona Jean Heard Russell and the late Joe Cephus Russell in the city of Gadsden, Alabama. At an early age, he accepted Christ and joined the Mt.Pilgrim Baptist Church. In 1974, he graduated from Emma Sansom. He continued his education at Alabama A & M University in Huntsville, Alabama. For more than 30 years, he worked at Temple Electric before retiring. He loved fishing, he was a fisherman to the max. Also, he loved hunting and to socialized with friends. To know Chuck was to know him as being very quiet and humble.

On March 3, 2022, Chuck departed this life. He was preceded in death by his father, Joe Cephus Russell; daughter, Angel Russell; sisters, Cassandra Vickers, Phyllis Russell, and Patricia Ballou; stepson, Arlando Jennings.

Cherishing his many precious and loving memories: his mother, Nona Jean Herring; wife, Mrs. Gussie Russell; two children (by previous his wife, Valerie Patterson Russell); daughter, Tovia (Antonin Watson, Jr.); son, Carlos Russell; stepdaughters, Quantecia Jennings and Cerrika Jordan; stepson, Marcus Thomas; special son, Rhoffettle Anthony Dupree; special daughter, Latorria Shack; grandchildren, Dylan Russell, Skylar Russell, Carlia Russell, Haley Watson, Gary Russell, II, Royal Russell, Kylar Graves, Jacey Prater, Arlandria Jennings, Maya Jennings and Arlando Jennings, Jr.; brothers, Todd Russell and Dexter Herring; sisters, Becky Baker, Terrie Brookins, Trena Simpson, Felicia (Billy) Dupree and Tameka (Roderick) Stephens; aunts, Frances (Chester) Williams, Catherine Reeves and Ora Heard; uncle, Rosevelt (Rose) Heard; sister-in-law, Patricia Dixon; special friends, Sherry Lee Carlisle, Michael Goggins, George Milliner, David Harville, Tiffany Wilson and Jerry Shropshire; special cousin, Victor Reeves and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Mr. Gary Anthony Russell " CHUCK" Public viewing will be Friday, March 11, 2022 from 12noon-6pm. Funeral services will be Saturday, March 12, 2022 at 3:00pm at the Mount Pilgrim Baptist Church. Eulogist: Minister Timothy Heard, Reverend Roderick Thomas, Pastor.
