Obituary For Nell Silver

Nell Silver, 75, passed away on Sunday, February 20, 2022.

Funeral service 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 26, 2022 at Word Tabernacle Church, 821 Word Plaza, Rocky Mount, NC 27804 with Reverend Kyle Johnson, officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Gethsemane.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.

The George Washington Carver High School Class of 1966, thank God for letting Nellie be a part of our lives. Remembering the days back in school, Nellie was always a quiet, loving, and friendly person. Although we did not see her as much as we like, we will deeply miss her and remember her is our future class activities. God needed another beautiful flower in His heavenly garden. My deepest condolences to the family...I met Mama Nell back in 1988 when I was in 8th grade, & from day 1, she always treated me like I was one of her own children. She had such a kind loving spirit. She was a beautiful person inside & out. I am blessed to have known her. May she rest in paradise.

We celebrated our Auntie-mom Nell's life knowing she's resting in heaven (our precious angel) along with Mama, Daddy, and Uncle Walter. My auntie treated Felicia and me (twins) like her 2 kids, Reggie and Pokie. She dressed all 4 of us like 2 sets of twins. I remember every other Saturday (payday) she took us to Hardees, Sunset Park to play together, and Dairy Queen for ice cream – man we couldn't wait for Saturday payday lol. No matter how far we lived away from home, she came to every one of our events from Boston to Virginia thru rain sleet, or snow, we knew she would be there alongside Pokie, Pot, and Vic. Her love for us is undisputable, pure as gold, and deep/wide as the ocean waters. We cherish her caring and devoted love as her 2 sets of twins. In her eyes Runt/Reggie did no wrong nor could you convince her otherwise lol. I love my sweet Auntie-mom Nell the way she showed me to love..undisputable, pure as gold, and as deep/wide as the ocean waters. #Forevermyangel
