Obituary For Hazel Hunte

Mrs. Hazel Hunte, 64, of Elizabethtown died on February 21, 2022, at Baptist Health Hardin.

Mrs. Hunte was a native of Raeford, NC and the daughter of the late James Malloy & Mary Breeden (stepfather John Breeden). She was a member of Lakeside Worship Center who enjoyed reading especially the Bible.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one sister, Gracie Breeden.

Survivors include her husband, Sydney Hunte, Sr. of Elizabethtown, KY; two sons, Sydney Hunte, Jr. of Atlanta, GA and Jamael Hunte (Alise) of San Antonio, TX; one daughter, Kashawn Hunte of Buffalo, NY; brothers Robert Malloy (Idell) of Raeford, NC and Derek Malloy of Aurora, NC; sisters Theresa Kearse (Willie) of Havelock, NC, Regina Malloy of Aurora, NC and Cassandra Smith of Aurora, NC, and two grandchildren, Josiah and Vyla Hunte.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the Loretta Robinson Scholarship, Lakeside Worship Center, 1801 Ring Road Elizabethtown, KY 42701. Visitation will be Friday, February 25, 2022, from 5:00 - 8:00 pm at Percell & Sons Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 5, 2022, at Highland Biblical Gardens (graveside service) in Raeford, NC with Pastor Earl Mitchell officiating.

Percell & Sons Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements. Buie's Funeral Home of Raeford, NC is in charge of out of state arrangements.
