Hello cousin David and Penny. Thanks for the service. Uncle David was my fun uncle. The last time I saw him was at Aunt Anna's memorial service in 2017. I got my bear hug that day. The last time we talked on the phone was somrtime in 2018. He never was a phone person it seems. But that day we talked over an hour. We caught up on a lot of stuff. I convey my condolences to you and your families. My thoughts and prayers be with you all.

You were only ten years older than me (I did not know that then) but I would enjoy some of the things you left behind at Grandma's house. There were records by Sarah Vaughn, books on Ju-Jitsu, comic books, and a hunting knife I kept late into my teen years when I lost it. People used to tell me I looked like you. So proud of my Uncle David. Leander Forbes, Jr.

I remember when at about age 8-9, your riding me around in the basket in front of your bike. I was so small for my age. I remember your buying me t-strap shoes when Mommie said I couldn't have them. You didn't answer your phone but no matter cause you know that you were more than my uncle, you are my friend. You will be missed. Love Jackie
