Mrs. Carol R. Weatherspoon, 71 of Ft. Mitchell, AL passed Friday, February 18, 2022 in Columbus, GA.
Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. EST, Saturday, March 19, 2022 in the C.T. Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Rev. Renae Thompson, officiating. Visitation will be Friday, March 18, 2022 from 12-5 p.m. EST.
Carol Rose Weatherspoon (Riddick) was born November 10, 1950 in Gainsville, Florida to the late William Franklin Riddick and Ceso Rose Riddick. She departed this earthly life on Friday, February 18, 2022.
Carol was a young girl when her family relocated to Miami, Florida. Where she attended Holmes Elementary School, Dorsey Junior High School. She later graduated from Miami Northwestern Senior High School in 1968. She enjoyed having conversations with everyone and she loved the Lord. Everyone that Carol came across she left her mark and they will always remember her.
After High school Carol started working at Jim Robbins Seat Belt Company in Hialeah, Florida. In 1970 Carol married Franklin Weatherspoon where she traveled the world as an Air Force wife. She worked for AAFES and Bitburg Lodging in Bitburg, Germany.
Carol loved listening to her Church music on her Alexa. She would call Alexa hardheaded because Alexa never got her songs right. Carol loved washing dishes and everyone who came over had to do them too. She loved her Flowers, Dillards, JC Penny, and Hibachi. Her love for her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren was unconditional.
Carol is preceded in death by her parents, William Franklin Riddick and Ceso Rose Riddick, granddaughter Angel Monique Edwards, and her twin brother Ronald W. Riddick.
She leaves her cherished memories to her children, Adrian Weatherspoon, Katrice Edwards, Franklin Weatherspoon Jr. and Derrick Weatherspoon; siblings: Rita Riddick, Donna Riddick, Yvette Riddick-Grant, William Riddick, and Joseph Riddick; one aunt, Francis Alford and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, grandchildren, great grandchildren and loving friends.
