Obituary For Ms. Carrie Elizabeth Underwood
Ms. Carrie Elizabeth Underwood 63, of Fort, Payne, AL, passed away on Thursday, February 17, 2022. Carrie Underwood was born on December 12, 1958 in Fort Payne, AL. She departed this life from us Thursday on February 17, 2022 at her residence in Fort Payne AL. Preceded in rest by parents Mr. Willie Underwood and Mrs. Roberta Carter Underwood and siblings John Underwood and Robert Underwood. She graduated from Fort Payne High School, Class of 1977. At an early age she accepted Christ as her Lord and savior. She loved the church and served in many capacities. Her gifts include poet, soloist, and rapper. She attended The New Vision Ministries. She loved God, her children, church and making people laugh. She leaves to cherish her memories her loving son Damien Underwood and two daughters Keva (Earl) Cooke and Shaundia Betton; Sisters: Trudy (Curtis) Raye, Mary Lou Ellis, Deloris Cutts; Brothers: Lester Underwood, Roscoe (Clara) Underwood, Kenneth (Veronica) Underwood, Willie (Shirley) Underwood; Grandchildren: Essence Underwood, Infinity Underwood, and Journey Underwood; All of Fort Payne AL; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, relatives, as well as many dear close and special friends.
Viewing will be Saturday, February 26, 2022 from 11am-1pm at Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church. Funeral services will me Saturday, February 26, 2022 at 1:00 pm at Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church. Eulogist: Reverend Ralph Jelks. Interment: Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery.

what can i say, Carrie was a friend id known for many many years. met her along with her mom at a ballgame rooting on the wildcats! Lots of fun and laughs.,great memories had ❤️ she called me "Kadillac". I'll miss Carrie. One of her fav scriptures i'll always remember, This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it. Psalm 118:24 shine on sista underwood, see you on the other side❤️

At a TRM cattle sale years ago, I met the one-of-a-kind, humorous, talented, energetic and kind-hearted Carrie Underwood. Sharing the Sagittarius zodiac sign, our personalities blended to form an instant friendship filled with years of storytelling through unrestrained laughter. Where do I begin? I met Carrie June 2016 at Randy Owen's barn. All I can say is WOW!!! She touched my heart that day/night. She sang Amazing Grace with Randy and her voice could give you big glory bumps. But here's the real deal of Carrie Elizabeth Underwood, she followed the Holy Spirit. That evening she came up to me and said, "I don't know what you have going on in your life, but the Holy Spirit has revealed to me that I need to pray for you." She did and oh my... it's like I could feel the Holy Spirit encamped around us and no one else even mattered at the moment. We were both crying, the stronger the prayer got, the stronger the Holy Spirit got. She didn't know it before the prayer, but my Daddy had been diagnosed with cancer the week before. I will always remember and cherish her for following what the Holy Spirit led her to do. I was blessed to be able to meet her and spend time with her, even if it was only once a year she always remembered me. Praying for her family as they carry on her legacy. Rachel Creswell

My beautiful friend Carrie Elizabeth Underwood, we were just like family and as I sit here I pray for all of the family and loved ones and friends that loved you so very much, I pray for comfort for God to wrap them in his arms and as for you my Best Earth Angel things just won't ever be the same as you are a one of a kind person as now you are an angel looking over us, I knew it from the minute I met you we even had a story that no one would believe if we told them and it all worked out to be away for you and I to become so close, this is something we always ended up laughing about I waiting for our wings was important to us, but I sit here still going no how can this be real but I know God needed you and I will see you for sure on the other side as we have talked about many times, you will always be missed by all love you my precious dear friend/family and angel watching over us 💔🥲💜🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
