Graveside service will be held 3:30 p.m. EST Saturday, February 26, 2022 at Rocky Mount Baptist Church Cemetery, Eufaula, AL. Visitation will be Friday, February 25, 2022 from 4-5 p.m. EST.
Elijah "B.C." Cunningham was born on May 27, 1952 in Eufaula, AL to the late Louis Cunningham and the late Martha Henry Cunningham.
Elijah departed this life on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at Piedmont Columbus Regional in Columbus, GA.
Elijah confessed to Christ at an early age at Rocky Mount Baptist Church.He attended Britt Rosenwall School in Eufaula, AL.
In 1973, he relocated to Rochester, New York where he was employed with Schlegel Materials, Inc. and retired after 37 years.
He enjoyed the brotherhood of his best friends. A.C. Babbis, Eddie James Paige and being apart of The Old Timers Club and the Dogg Pound Club of Rochester, New York.
Elijah was preceded in death by five brothers, Floyd Cunningham, Emanuel Thomas, Moses Jones, Major Cunningham and Benjamin Cunningham.
He leaves to cherish his memory, three sisters, Lena (Henry) Wills of Washington , DC, Semarian Vaughn and Ruthie Cunningham of Columbus, GA; three brothers, Louis (Mary) Cunningham of Gary, IN, Joseph (Van) Cunningham of Rochester, NY and Jimmie (Cheryl) Cunningham of Bloomington, IL; three godchildren, Tasha Burneast, Santrese Jones and Lamar Jones and a host of nieces nephew and friends.
