Obituary For Tasha Hicks
Tasha Hicks, 51 of Lillington, NC passed on February 13, 2022 at Central Harnett Hospital in Lillington, NC. She leaves to cherish her memories and mourn her loss: her two sons, Adrian Evans and Elijah Hicks; one brother, Mansfield Hicks (Latisha) of Decatur, Georgia; three sisters, Sandra Hicks Judd of Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina, Donna Hicks Robinson (Larry) of the home, and Tamitha Hicks Gilchrist of Raleigh, North Carolina; a special life partner, John Rowland of the home; five grandkids; a host of nieces and nephews whom she dearly loved; special nieces and nephews, Rico Hicks, Chaka Hicks, Kunta Hicks, and Marica Judd; special cousins, Pansy McKoy, Alisha Lyons, and Gloria Price; and special friends, Felicia Epps, and Mr. and Mrs. Pete and Lisa Mason. She was preceded in death by her nephew, Jarvis Hicks, and special cousin, Midget McKoy.
Visitation: 4:00 - 6:00 pm Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at Trice Funeral Home Chapel, 127 N. West Street in Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526.
Funeral will be held 1:00 pm Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at St. Augusta Missionary Baptist Church, 605 Bridge Street in Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526.
Burial: Starlight Memorial Gardens, Lois Lane in Holly Springs, NC 27540.
Mask are required in order to attend the visitation or funeral service.

I am sorry to hear of Tasha's passing. I taught her in second grade at Lincoln Heights Elementary School. Although I have not seen her since that time, around 1978 when she was in my second grade class I remember her well and the picture of her looks like her by the eyes as she would look as an adult woman. She used to pretend that she was "Miss Hicks" and teaching a group of students in the reading circle like I did because we had the same last name. Once I had to reprimand her when she was taking up for me when another second grade student from another class was talking about me in the bathroom. Tasha was incensed and wasn't going to let anybody talk about her teacher. Although I had to address the issue I secretly appreciated the loyalty. Tasha was a good student and never unruly. I am happy to know that she had a good life although a short one. May God continue to be with the family as you mourn her loss. Sincerely, Maritza Hicks
