Kerry went through the Anson County Public Schools. She confessed Christ at an early age and joined Henry Grove Baptist Church, Lilesville, North Carolina. She also attended Missionary Baptist Church in Lilesville, North Carolina.
Left to cherish her memories are her loving sisters and brothers, Doris and Terry (her twin) Byrd of the home, Mrs. Barbara (Benjamin) Smith, Mrs. Betty (James) Pickett, Mrs. Rena (Melvin) Tyson all of Lilesville, NC, Mrs. Shirley (Richard) Ratliff, Mrs. Janet (Hubert) Jackson, Mr. Edward (Deborah) Byrd, Mr. James Byrd, Mr. Glen Byrd and Ms. Alisha Thomas all of Wadesboro, North Carolina.
Three aunts, Mrs. Rena Knotts and Mrs. Beatrice Evans of Lilesville, North Carolina and Ms. Eva Diggs of Wadesboro, North Carolina; four uncles, Mr. James (Trissie) Tillman of Lilesville, North Carolina, Mr. Ross (Wanda) Tillman of Wadesboro, North Carolina, Mr. Walter (Anita) Tillman of Rockingham, North Carolina and Mr. Crawford Tillman of Morven, North Carolina.
A huge host of nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly; three special sisters, Lequesha and Lekesha Medley of Wadesboro, North Carolina and Bernia Jaecksch-Ford of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; cousins, relatives and friends.
The Homegoing Services will be on Sunday, February 13, 2022, 10:30am, Smith's Memorial Chapel, 604 Salisbury Street, Wadesboro, North Carolina.
The Byrd Family will greet family and friends on Sunday, February 13, 2022 from 10:00-10:30am at Smith's Memorial Chapel and at all other times at the Byrd Family Home, 104 Johnson Street, Wadesboro, North Carolina.
The public viewing will be on Saturday, February 12, 2022 from 6:15-7:15pm.
