Kirk R. Goode, 51, of 907 F Street, Martinsville, VA, transitioned from this earthly life to eternal life on Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at UVA Medical Center, Charlottesville, VA. Born in Virginia October 1, 1970, he was the son of Jesse Ben Goode, Jr. and Catherine Galloway Goode who preceded him in death.
Kirk was a 1989 graduate of Martinsville High School where he excelled in football. He attended Divine Faith Holiness Church. Kirk attended St. Paul’s College, Lawrenceville, VA, where he majored in Sociology.
Those left to cherish his memory include: two sisters, Leslie (George) Spencer of Charlotte, NC, and Tammie Dudley of Atlanta, GA; one niece, Brandi Dudley of Atlanta, GA; three nephews, Evan (Alexandra) Dudley of Atlanta, GA, Cameron Spencer, and Seth (Kayla) Spencer both of Charlotte, NC; great niece, Serenity Spencer of Charlotte, NC; his loyal dog Blu Roxie, and a host of aunts, uncles, other relatives, and friends.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, February 7, 2022, at 2 p.m. at Carver Memorial Gardens. Viewing will be held on Sunday, February 6, 2022, at Hairston Funeral Home between the hours of 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. In accordance with the CDC, a face covering, and social distancing is required. All other times, the family will be receiving friends at the home, 907 F Street, Martinsville, VA. The family ask that when visiting the home, that you observe all CDC guidelines.
