Mrs. Mary Pickard Jones, 81, of Salem, AL passed Wednesday, January 26, 2022 in Columbus, GA.

Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. EST, Friday, February 4, 2022 in the C.T. Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Pastor Charlie Bryant, officiating. Interment to follow in Greater St. John Baptist Church (old) Cemetery Crawford, AL. Visitation will be held Friday, February 4, 2022 from 9:00 a.m.-1 p.m EST.

Mrs. Mary Pickard "Peggy" Jones was born January 1,1941 in Lee County, Alabama to the late Glen and Cora Allen Pickard.

She confessed Christ at an early age and united with the Greater St. John Missionary Baptist Church in Crawford, Alabama. She was a loving mother and homemaker while being a hard worker working different part time jobs at hotels and Clovers Department Stores.

Preceding her to eternal rest was her late parents; seven brothers, Roger, Glen, James, L.C., Jack,Willie and Walter Pickard; three sisters, Rosie Butler, Ida Mae Pickard and Cherry Pickard.

Peggy is survived by her husband, John David Jones; son, Davis Lee Jones; grandson, Davis Iglesias all of Philadelphia, PA; one sister, Cora Pickard Edwards of Columbus, GA and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
