Rev. Anthony Ford, Pastor of Mt. Gilead Missionary Baptist Church of Houston, TX, will be officiating the funeral service.
Mrs. Handy’s memories are being cherished by: one brother, Nervin Amadiee of Lawtell, LA; two sisters, Beulah M. Arclese of Lawtell, LA and Rose Arclese of Opelousas, LA; two Goddaughters, Berthrisa Marie Guidry of Opelousas, LA and Erika Savoy Akpan (Femi) of Houston, TX; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by: her husband, Vorice Handy; her parents, Mr. Douglas and Elouise Amaday; three brothers, Irvin Amaday, Johnny Amadie and Floyd Gums; two sisters, Nara Lee Guidry and Alice Jones; one nephew, Ricky Roberts; two nieces, Sarah Ann Toussaint and Mary Roberts; and brother-in-law, Lawrence Acclis; and sister-in-law, Carol A. Roberts Amaday.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 8, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. at The Community Family Life Center, 1626 W. College Ave., Opelousas, LA.
