Obituary For Gloria Jean Terrell

Ms. Gloria J. Terrell was the second child born to the late Eddie B. King Sr. and Mattie Sue King in Morgan County Georgia. On Friday, December 17, 2021, our beloved Gloria was called to her heavenly home. She accepted Christ at an early age she joined Indian Creek Baptist Church in Madison Ga.

On May 2nd, 1966, in Greensboro, Ga Gloria married the love of her life, Mr. Terry Terrell Sr. of whom she shared over 42 years of marriage until his departure on April 24th, 2008. To their union four beautiful children were born.

Gloria was preceded in death by her mother and father, her husband Terry Terrell Sr, her son Terry Terrell Jr, her sister Morlene Brown, son-n-law Rev. Jerry Hurst Sr., and granddaughter Porsha Few.

Gloria received her education through the public schools of Morgan County. Early on she worked at Gold Kist Poultry and later thru the years she worked at Reynold's Plantation and Tara's Cafe. Gloria loved her kids and her grandkids whom she enjoyed and adored. Gloria also spent her time caring for others as a foster parent. Gloria enjoyed taking cruises, going to the mountains with her family and friends, as well as going fishing. She enjoyed dancing and cooking was her passion. Her unfortunate circumstances created a virtuous woman of compassion with great strength, a mother with character, determination, and perseverance. She was a mother, grandmother to all of whom she encountered over the years. She had a heart of gold and by far the sweetest person whom you could ever be around.

Gloria Jean Terrell, our mother, our grandmother, sister, aunt will be truly missed by all, she will always be loved and greatly appreciated and will never be forgotten. She leaves behind to cherish her love and sweet memories; one daughter Tammy (Adrian) Barnaby, of Greensboro Ga. Two sons Larry (Cicely) Terrell Sr. of Warrenton Ga and Fredrick (Sheba) Terrell of Athens, Ga. Two brothers Earnest King, Macon, Ga; Eddie King Jr, Union Point Ga., fifteen grandchildren: Quaderius, Jerry Jr., Tamara, James, Tu'Neique, Terry Jr., Fredricka, Frederick Jr, Heather, Cieria, India, Shelisha, Samantha, Tecotobius, Fredresha, Larry Jr, Fredrina, Lamar. Great- Grandchildren Jahniyah, Zy, Quantavious, Paris, Malaysia, Avery, Julian. Dahlia, Kenyon; One sister-n-law Lucille Evans of Greensboro, Ga., Two brother-n-laws R. L Terrell and Eugene Terrell of Greensboro, GA. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
