Franklin D. McLeod, son of the late Carol McLeod and Martha Abraham McLeod was born May 17, 1954. He was preceded in death by one grandson, Arron Abraham, two sisters, Bertha Kennedy and Ernestine McLeod and seven brothers, Leroy McLeod, Carol McLeod, Jr., Willie James McLeod, Roosevelt McLeod, Albert McLeod, Charles Dennis McLeod and Johnny McLeod.
He attended the public schools of Clarendon County.
He worked as a cement finisher for years in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Franklin loved to draw and was a great artist. He leaves to cherish his memory, three daughters, Patricia Abraham and Shante Abraham both of Manning, SC and Matisha Blackwell Singleton, Sumter, SC; two sisters, Lillie Jones, Sumter, SC and Carrie “Peggy” McLeod, Manning, SC; seven grandchildren, Patrice Jones, Georgia, Keymonteo Abraham, Latrell McCray, Brian Marshall, Tyshanna Abraham, Javon Daney and Cornell Williams all of Manning, SC; six great grandchildren, Lamyra Jones, Jacari Jones, Kaden Jones, Kason Jones all of Georgia, Nova Abraham and Ace Abraham both of Manning, SC; eighteen nieces and nephews; a host of other relatives and friends.
Memorial services were held 2:00 PM Saturday, December 18, 2021 at Hayes F. Samuels, Sr. Memorial Chapel, 114 N. Church Street, Manning, SC. Rev. Herman Holland, officiated; Rev. Joe Roberts and Rev. Clarence Hilton, assisted.
The family received friends at the home of his sister, Carrie "Peggy" McLeod, 121 Kennedy Lane, Manning, SC.
My dear Uncle Franklin I will always remember you as a bright shining light. Love you alway You will truly be missed.
