Obituary

Anthony Seay was born to the late Eddie Joe Seay English and the late Martin Brown on October 23, 1960 in Quitman, GA. Anthony attended Brooks County Schools where he graduated class of 1978. He lived in Quitman where he went on to marry his wife Ernestine Seay (deceased) in 1981.

Early on in life, he worked at Quitman Manufacturing and many years after at Shaw Carpet. He dedicated his life to Christ at an early age and spent years in the body of The Church of Christ.

Anthony took pride in being Coach Seay for the Brooks County Youth Center (BCYC) for many years. He was a loving and dedicated father, grandpa, son, brother, uncle and coach to many. He enjoyed making others laugh and “telling lies” with his family and friends at gatherings.

Anthony was preceded in death by his wife Ernestine Seay; mother Eddie Joe Seay English; father, Martin Brown; Grandmother, Ruthie Lee Seay Golden and brothers, Joseph Seay and Marcus Brown.

He leaves to cherish his memories, 3 children: Anthony Seay (Althea) of Hampton, GA, Monica Jones (Marvin) of Fairburn, GA, Ernest Seay (Kye) of McDonough, GA; 9 grandchildren; Jordyn Seay, Madison Burns, Taylor Daniels, McKenzie Rawls, Aniyah Seay, Ava’Marie Seay, Mason Jones, Kennedy Seay, Nova Seay; 13 siblings; Ruby, Martin, Calvin, Carolyn, Alacia, Rosa, Lori, Debra, Jennifer, Elizabeth, Israel, Karen, and Tiffany; Mother-in-law Myra Jane Dunlap; 2 great aunts; Barbara Seay and Willie Seay (Sister Seay); a very special friend and brother-in-law Kenny Spencer and friend Larry “LL” Little.

A celebration of life was held on Saturday, November 27, 2021 at 10AM at Calvary Christian Center with Rev. Floyd Demps, eulogist. Burial was followed in Second Elizabeth M.B. Church Cemetery.
