L.C. Lewis was born June 23, 1951 in Schlater, MS, to the late Isaiah Lemon and Annie Mae Lewis Lemon.

L.C. attended Cruger Elementary School and later Tchula Attendance Center(TAC) in Lexington, MS. He obtained employment with A. B. Archer Company where he worked for forty years as a field machine operator. He suffered a stroke in 1989 which left him paralyzed on the left side.

In 1980, L.C. met and married Emma Jean Weatherall (deceased) the love of his life.

L. C. joined New Bethany Assembly for Christ, under the leadership of Pastor Ruth Dotson. He was a Deacon and a choir member. He remained a committed and faithful member under his death on Sunday, November 28, 2021.

L.C. was a people person and no one was a stranger to him, always smiling. He was kind, loved life, his family, good food, loved the Lord and enjoyed riding. Some folk took his meekness for weakness. L.C. (Jimbo) Lewis did everything his way.

L.C. leaves to cherish his memories; one loving sister; Sallie Lemmon, Aurora, IL; two daughters; Diana Weatherall Sutton, Greenwood, MS; and Kelsey Lewis, Tchula, MS; two sons; Danny Weatherall(Kurkessa), Inverness, MS; and Christopher Weatherall, Tchula, MS; four grandchildren; Wendy Weatherall, Jamarcus Weatherall, Olivia Weatherall and D'Angelo Weatherall; three great-grandchildren; Marianna Weatherall, Michele Miller and Jameidric Miller; a special sister-devoted friend, Pastor Ruth Dotson, the Thurmond family and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
