Wanda spent 42 years starting at K-25 as a computer analyst and then transferring to Y-12 as a plant Engineer.
She was preceded in death by Mother, Ethel McMillan, Father William Douglas Summers; Grandparents James and Juanita McMillan ; sister Mildred McMillan; Brothers, Leroy, Arthur Sr., James, and Greg McMillan.
She leaves to cherish her memories; loving and devoted son Kita (Elicia) Wynder; Granddaughters, Kassiah and K’Leecia Wynder; sister Brenda Upton; brothers, Dennis, Dexter (LaTasha), David, and Darryl McMillan, loving nephews and nieces that she helped to raise, Bernard (LaTasha) Walker of Nashville, TN, Roderick (Yolandre) Skinner, LeWandra (Erreese) King, Kwanbe Bullard, and Dexter McMillan, Jr., many more nieces and nephews and cousins too numerous to name including Goddaughters, Carrisa (Maurice) Box and LaQuotia Hill; Long time friends; Minnie Pearl Chesney and Jasmine Howerton.
The family will receive friends on Monday, November 29, 2021 from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. with the Celebration of Life Service to begin at 1:00 p.m. at Community Evangelistic Church (CEC) with Pastor Reginald Strong, Pastor, Pastor Steve Simpson officiating.
The final resting place will be at Mt. Olive Cemetery immediately following the service where a dove release will conclude in her honor.
Mrs. McMillan will lie in state on Sunday, November 28, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the Unity Mortuary Chapel.
