MRS. MARSHA GAIL CHRISTIAN MITCHELL – AGE 70, - Of Calhoun, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, November 16, 2021. She was born on September 6, 1951. She was preceded by her husband, Chief Willie Mitchell, son, William Eric Mitchell, mother, Eula Mae Bowden, sisters, Priscilla Bowden, Earline Bowden, and brother, Buford Christian. She retired from J. & J. Industries for over thirty-three years in the Shipping Department for many years. She was a faithful member of Bethel A. M. E. Church in Dalton, GA and later she joined First Corinth Baptist Church in Calhoun, GA.

Survivors are her loving and devoted daughters, Tonia (Robert) McAfee of Calhoun, Georgia and O’Lita Hampton (Patrick Evans) of Rome, Georgia; two sons, Eddie Lee Hampton of Calhoun, Jerome (Cynthia) Mitchell of Conyers, Georgia; daughter-in-law, Peggy Mitchell of Dalton; ten grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren; two sisters, Linda Watts of Cartersville, GA, Hilda Fowler of Calhoun; three brothers, Roy Campanella of Cartersville, James Bowden, Gary Long of Calhoun; sisters-in-love, Willie Bea Mitchell, Christine Lane; brothers-in-love, E. L. Mitchell, John H. Mitchell; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives; devoted family, Jennie Mitchell, best friends, Gwen Allen, David Samples, and other friends.

Graveside Service and Interment will be on Sunday, November 21, 2021 at 3:00 P. M. at West Hill Cemetery in Dalton with Rev. Erma Raymond as Eulogist and Pastor D. D. Harris, Officiating. Her remains will lie in state at the funeral home on Saturday after 11:00 A. M. until the funeral hour. Arrangements by Willis Funeral Home, Inc., Dalton, Georgia.
