Cedric "Dooley Duke" Charlton
Tallahassee - Our beloved Cedric "Dooley/Duke" Charlton 53, a lifelong resident of Tallahassee, Florida transitioned to eternal life on Wednesday October 27, 2021. Cedric attended Godby High School where he fostered many lifelong friendships. Cedric loved sports and played football in his youth. Cedric often bragged about his athletic skills. As a football enthusiast, he was a huge fan of the FAMU Rattlers and FSU Seminoles.
Cedric worked in various industries throughout his career to include Associated Services, Florida State University and WoodSpring Hotels.
Cedric shared many special moments and events with family and friends and leaves those memories to be cherished by his children, Cedric Charlton Jr, Lauren Anderson, Chelsey Charlton, Courtney Charlton and Jequan Charlton; sisters, Melissa Dorsey Hannah, Juliet Hardy (Gordon), Brenda P. Moore (Rodney) and Sonya Wallace; aunts, Dorothy Pye (Otis), Minnie Paramore, Catherine Clark, and Christine Paul (Clarence); uncle, James Lester Paramore (Anna); special friend, Irish Campbell; 7 grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Ruth Etta Paramore Charlton; brothers, Lloyd Lorenzo Charlton and Kenneth Eric Paramore.
Graveside services will be at 11 am on Saturday, November 6, 2021, at Southside Cemetery. Public viewing will be Friday, November 5, 2021, from 3 PM to 6 PM at Strong and Jones Funeral Home.
