MRS. DEBORAH ANN JOHNSON - Age 72, of Cartersville, GA passed away Monday, November 1, 2021. She was born October 04, 1949 to the late Leila Elizabeth Gay – Pruitt, and Archie Woodard, Jr. She was preceded by her husband, Lewis Levi Johnson, sisters, Ora Lee Pruitt – Brown, Phyllis LeJune Pruitt – Harris, brother, John Rodney Pruitt, and grandson, Keevan Emari Johnson. Survivors are her loving and devoted family, beloved second husband, Edward James Levy, Sr; son, Edward James Levy, II; two daughters, Denise Arnetta Johnson, Batini Adia Levy; seven grandchildren, Desiree’ Adia, DeMarcus Alexander, Aiesha Symone, Dasia Adia, Ashanti Sejedah, Jalen Xavier, Michael Malik; three great grandchildren, Jhene’ Denise – Elizabeth, Nova – Starr Symone, Elijah Malik; two brothers, William Kenneth (Debra Ann) Woodard, Keith Bryan (Terri) Woodard; three aunts, Edwina Miles, Annie LeMerian (John) Carter, Mary Arnetta Wynn; one uncle, Willie Earl Gay; special cousins, David Lee (Ruby Jean) Jones, Wallace S. Rasberry, Jr, Margaret (Edward) Blackmon, Rueben (Sandra) Gay, Andre’ (Kathy) Alston, Garrett Gay, Jocelyn (Willie) Smith; godchildren, NaTosha Denise Gainor, Charlton Bradley, Erica Bradley; special friends, Elizabeth Gainor and Belinda Bellamy; other relatives, and friends; Caregivers, Affinis Hospice, My Parent’s Keeper, and Nurse Lanice Cooper. Funeral Service will be Monday, November 8, 2021 at 1:00 P. M. at Greater Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church, 1 Mt. Olive Street, Cartersville, Georgia 30120, with Pastor Randy Livsey and Pastor Marcus L. Rasberry as Eulogist. The family will receive friends at the church from 12:00 noon until the funeral hour. Her remains will lie in state at the church from 11:00 A. M. until the funeral hour. Interment, Providence Cemetery. Arrangements by Willis Funeral Home, Inc., Dalton, Georgia.

I remember when I brought our children, Chenay and Brian, to visit Deborah and the family in 1989. Brian turned two during the visit. Deborah gave Brian a birthday party! Terri Maxwell Woodard
