Obituary For Deborah Meeks
Deborah Shanta Meeks was born June 26, 1980 in Charlotte, North Carolina to Deborah Dian Meeks and the late Wayne Garrison and departed this life on Friday; October 13, 2021 at Atrium Health Pineville.
She had a heart of gold and always gave back to anyone in need. She went over and beyond for her children and grandchildren. She was loved by many. She loved to cook.
Deborah was preceded in death by her father: Wayne Garrison; nephew: Joziah Shorts, maternal grandmother: Fannie Meeks; paternal grandfather: Ernest Meeks; and paternal great grandmother: Mary L. Borders.
Deborah leaves to cherish memories to her loving and caring mother: Deborah D. Meeks of Gastonia, NC; grandmother: Mary Garrison of Charlotte, NC; three sons: Jabari Meeks of Gastonia, NC, Shaquille Meeks and Rayshawn Fryar of Charlotte, NC; two daughters: Alexis Meeks and Zaniyah Fryar of Gastonia, NC; two sisters: Lakeina Shorts (Damien) of Chester, PA, and Tiana Grier of Gastonia, NC; five uncles: Ernest Meeks of Shelby, NC, Tony Garrison (Gwen) of Rock Hill, SC, Darrill Garrison of Charlotte, NC and Eric Garrison (Redonda) of Charlotte, NC; four aunts: Shirley Hicks (Stacey), Neina Bland (Marshall) of Greenwood, SC, Marketta Meeks Barnwell (Ronnie) and Eugenia Meeks both of Gastonia, NC and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
Public viewing will be Friday; October 29, 2021 at the funeral home from 4 until 8.
Funeral will be Saturday; October 30, 2021; 12:30 p.m. at Center Baptist Church, Gastonia
Visitation is thirty minutes before the service at the church.
Interment: Armstrong Cemetery, Gastonia
Masks required at all services and funeral will be live on funeral home facebook page.

Mom , words couldn't express the love I have for you . We wasn't always on the best of terms but at the end of end day we still made things work and made our bond stronger . I love you more then life itself . I wish I could've had a little bit more time with you just to hug you , love you and to tell you things I didn't get to . You was my best friend my mother my heart my everything . But I have to come to an understanding that it was time you gained your wings . No more pain, suffering or struggling . You at peace now . I love you so dearly . You will never ever be forgotten . I love you. You may rest now.
