Obituary For Latoya Thomas

OPELOUSAS - Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at Community Chapel Church of God In Christ, 1606 W. College Ave., Opelousas, LA for Ms. Latoya Thomas, affectionately known as “Deanne”, 41, who entered eternal rest on Friday, October 8, 2021 at Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center in Lafayette, LA. Interment will be in Garden of Memory Cemetery in Opelousas, LA.

Rev. Frank L. Ford, Pastor of Community Chapel C.O.G.I.C., will be officiating the funeral service.

Deanne’s memories are being cherished by: her father, Dwight Faulk of Lafayette, LA; three sisters, Charlene Darjean (Randy, Jr.) of Carencro, LA, Darlene Malveaux of Opelousas, LA and Rekisha Thomas (Claude Borel) of Youngsville, LA; four brothers, Kendrick Bergeron of St. Martinville, LA, Dylan Woods and Toni Woods, both of Lafayette, LA and Jarel of Texas; four sisters, Nakieva Williams, Ava Faulk, Desiree Faulk and Nicole Jones, all of Lafayette, LA; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by: her mother, Kathy E. Fontenot; maternal grandparents, Sherman Brown, Sr. and Jessie Rose Batiste Brown and Henry Fontenot; paternal grandparents, Joyce Faulk and June Logan; and uncles, Michael Wayne Fontenot, Baby Boy Brown, Sherman Brown, Jr. and Lynn Roy Watts.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 16, 2021 from 8:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. at Community Chapel C.O.G.I.C.
