“Follow peace with all men and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord.” Hebrews 12:14
Joseph Feltus was born on February 3, 1961, in New Orleans, Louisiana to Doris Feltus and Joseph Barber. He was the second of six children. He departed this earthly life on September 28, 2021. He was preceded in death by one brother, Isreal Pipes. His family affectionately called him “Bebe.” His quiet nature and sincere character solidified his role as the family’s right-hand man.
Over the years, he was employed at American Waste, Blue Plate, and Lakefront Airport in New Orleans, Louisiana. Whether on the job or working around the house, he always went the extra mile to do the job right.
Joseph was nurtured in the Church of God in Christ in New Orleans. After relocating to Marietta, Georgia, he accepted Christ and was baptized at Greater Community C.O.G.I.C. under the leadership of Pastor Matthew L. Brown, Th.D.
Friends knew him as “Cat-Eye.” He was delivered through many health challenges by God’s enduring grace as though he had “nine lives.” His purpose is now fulfilled, and the lives of his family and friends are forever enriched. He leaves to cherish his life and memory a dear mother, Doris Feltus Wilbon; beloved siblings Larry (Didrie), Linda, Paula, and Clinton; a close aunt; Willie Mae (Ezickel); nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Final arrangements have been entrusted to Willie A. Watkins Funeral Home Carrollton Chapel. 770-836-0044.
