Obituary For Lisa McDaniel

Lisa Jozette McDaniel, 47, of New Bern died Monday, September 27, 2021.

There will not be a public viewing.

Her service is 1:00 PM, Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at Highways and Hedges Revival Center 1601 National Avenue. The interment will follow at New Bern Memorial Cemetery. The service may be viewed on Oscar's Mortuary Facebook Page.

She is survived by her son, Jurante Graham of Raleigh; daughters, Joidan Hall and Shania Grady both of New Bern; brothers, Jimmy McDaniel, Jonah McDaniel, of Durham, NC, Jeremy McDaniel of Greensboro, NC, James McDaniel of Ayden; one grandchild.

Masks are required and social distancing will be followed.

Jozette, I'm going to miss you. Thank you for accepting me into the family. Jozette was one of a kind in my book. She was full of life. She kept me laughing when we came into contact with one another. I enjoyed every moment we spend together, whether it was on the phone or in person. If I needed a laugh or a story, I knew to call her and she would cut up. There was never a dull moment with her. This one is unbelievable for me. I love you!! I come to know Jozette through a co-worker of mines years ago and found her to be a dear heart. She would keep me laughing so hard every single time I saw her. I THANK GOD FOR JOZETTE. I'm an in law to the family, but she always made me feel apart of and called me as family. Jozette welcomed me and she greeted me with open arms. We only ran into each other at Walmart and I always asked about my baby Niiaa as if she was still 5 years old.
