Homegoing Services for Mr. Dexter Barnard Dabney, will be held Saturday, September 25, 2021, 11:00 A.M. at Little Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, 315 Fifth Avenue, Decatur, GA., with remains placed instate at 10:00 A.M. The Reverend Robert E. Welch, Chaplain, Pastor, Officiating. Interment, Kennedy Memorial Gardens, Ellenwood, GA. A Public Viewing and Visitation will be held Friday, September 24, 2021, 12:00 NOON until 7:30 P.M. at the mortuary. Dexter was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Agnes Fuller Dabney, and his brothers, Dwight and Donald Dabney. He leaves to cherish his memories his devoted wife of 41 years, Beverly Dabney, his only son, Duane Bernard Dabney; his nephews Anthony and Devin Dabney; special cousins Charles and Dalia Cordell and Kent and James Banks; a host of other relatives and special friends. Dexter has an extended family in the Carolinas: Charles (Vernell) Hatcher, Carol (Phillip) Ramsy, Chris Hatcher, Charles Hatcher, Jr. and Jennifer Penn Smith and host of nieces and nephews.
