On September 21, 2021, Jeremiah Montgomery AKS “Jeddy” time on earth came to a stop and his eternal time began.

A time to be born: Jeremiah Montgomery was born January 24, 1973 to James Lee Montgomery and Edna Pearl Garris Montgomery. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Roy and Hattie Montgomery Brown, James and Suzanna Garris, uncles, John Larry Brown, Lawerance Garris and Willie Lee Garris, aunts, Theola B. Rawlinson, Carrie Lee Garris, Rosa Lee Garris and Mary Montgomery.

A time to live: “Jeddy” gained his formal education in Clarendon School District Two. As a child, he attended Fourth Crossroads Baptist Church where he gained accurate knowledge in the Lord. He was employed with Piggly Wiggly of Manning, South Carolina as a Meat Technician.

A time to rest: Jeremiah left a void in the hearts of his loved ones, parents, James Lee Montgomery and Edna Pearl Garris Montgmery of Manning, SC; one son, Marcus Rankins of Manning, SC; one brother, Perry (Deborah) Montgomery of Manning, SC; two sisters, Barbara Garris and Wendy Montgomery both of Manning, SC; a very special friend, Francina Prince of Manning, SC; five aunts, Mattie Garris, Odessa Garris, Ida Mae Billups all of Manning, SC, Alma Montgomery of Sumter, SC and Mageline (Roosevelt) Woods of Kingstree, SC; three uncles, James E. Garris, William Brown both of Manning, SC and Herbert Browmall of Pompano Beach, FL; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, co-workers and friends who greatly loved him.

Public viewing was held from 4:00PM til 6:00PM Saturday, September 25, 2021 at Hayes F. Samuels, Sr. Memorial Chapel, 114 N. Church Street, Manning, SC.

Graveside services were held 11:00 AM Sunday, September 26, 2021 at Manning Cemetery, Manning, SC.

The family received friends at 1274 Meadowbrook Drive, Manning, SC.
