Sister Mary Magdelene Lester Woodson was born on February 14, 1942, to the union of the late Mattie Bell Bembry and Joe Jordan in Hawkinsville, GA. Mary accepted Christ at an early age and was united with the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, where she served faithfully as the Sunday school treasurer and building fund treasurer, until her health began to fail. In her leisure time, she enjoyed spending time with family, singing, reading her bible, and completing crossword puzzles. She was united in holy matrimony to Mr. Joshua Woodson, Sr., on January 2, 1960, and to this union three children were born.
