HIGH FLIGHT Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings; Sunward I've climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth Of sun-split clouds, – and done a hundred things You have not dreamed of – wheeled and soared and swung High in the sunlit silence. Hov'ring there, I've chased the shouting wind along, and flung My eager craft through footless halls of air... Up, up the long, delirious burning blue I've topped the wind-swept heights with easy grace Where never lark, or ever eagle flew – And, while with silent, lifting mind I've trod The high untrespassed sanctity of space, Put out my hand, and touched the face of God.

So hard to grasp the fact that he's not here with us any longer, but I have no doubt that he is at rest with our Heavenly Father. Dr. Underwood was our family Physician for a very long time. He was more than that. He was our friend as well. Praying God will continue to comfort his family and hold on to those sweet memories. Mr. and Mrs. Clemmie Blair

Precious Memories how they linger. Such is my memory of the first time Jeff Underwood came into my office at ASU requesting financial assistance for travel to a Washington, D.C. Student Medical Conference. He talked then about his plans to emulate his father through medical care for the underserved community. He was only a college junior at the time, but over the years, I was proud to see him accomplish his goal. His Dad would be so proud of him. Knowing his Dad as I did, He's smiling, even now. Well done, Jeff. Charles Varner, Jr., former ASU V/P Advancement
