Celebration of Life for Mr. Robert Ogletree, will be Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at 12:00 pm, in the Gadsden Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. G. E. Robinson, officiating, visitation is Tuesday September 7, 6 pm until 8 pm.
Mr. Robert Ogletree was born on June 9, 1929, to the late Walter and Jennie Ogletree in Hogansville, Georgia. He departed this earthly life on September 1, 2021. He confessed his love for the Lord and united with the Bethlehem Baptist Church in Birmingham, Alabama, under the leadership of Reverend William H. Walker. He later became a devoted member of the Galilee Baptist Church in Gadsden, Alabama, Reverend G. E. Robinson, Sr., Pastor. Robert worked tirelessly and retired after forty years from U. S. Steel in Ensley, Alabama. He had a quiet manner about himself and loved everybody. He never spoke anything but positive words. His family meant everything to him; he was the happiest when they were around. He leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife Lorraine Moore Ogletree; one sister, Dr. Roberta (Roger) Ogletree Watts; children, Robert (Alfreda) Lewis Ogletree, Loretta Lynn (Randolph) Scott, Kenneth (Teresa) Ogletree, Michael (Valerie) Ogletree, and stepdaughter, Rugenia Moore Henry; grandchildren, Dina, Robert Jr, Roland, Roberta, Dorressia, Randolph Jr, Reginald, Jennifer, Kenneth Jr, Kimberly, Robert, Teresa, Michael, Keith, Mia, and Todd; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends
