Obituary For Vicki D. Jarboe

Vicki Dawn Jarboe, 57, of Clarkston, an Atlanta native, passed away Saturday, August 28, 2021, after a courageous 2-year battle with cancer. Vicki attended Atlanta Public Schools and was a graduate of Morris Brown College (class of 1985) and pledged Delta Sigma Theta sorority (Gamma Zeta Chapter) while at Morris Brown.

Vicki started working at age 14 on summer jobs, and worked for over 36 years with the U.S Government; first at the Social Security Administration and predominantly at the Centers for Disease Control. Vicki was a go-getter, and self-starter, with a strong work ethic, and selfless desire to help and assist others. She was a huge blessing to her family and never "had" to be asked to help out. Vicki enjoyed travel and getting away from it all on Caribbean cruises. Vicki also loved sports and cars, but she really enjoyed and excelled at doing things for her loved ones. We love her so very dearly and miss her joyfulness and spirit.

Vicki is survived by her daughter, Kylie Victoria Jones; mother, E. Marie Jarboe; brother, Andre Jarboe (Dr. Lisa Flowers); nephews, Andre, II, Nicholas, Miguel; uncle, Lewis Jarboe (Rita); her dog, Beamer; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Celebration of Life Services will be held Friday, September 3, 2021, 11:00 A.M. at The Chapel of Donald Trimble Mortuary. Interment, Westview Cemetery, Atlanta. Visitation will be held TODAY, 12:00 NOON until 8:00 P.M. Donald Trimble Mortuary, Inc., 1876 Second Avenue, Decatur, 404-371-0772-3.
